Bin Han is a PhD candidate in Information Science at University of Washington, advised by Dr. Bill Howe in the Information School. Bin’s research interests lie in the intersection of urban computing and transfer learning using deep learning methods, with the goal of enhancing urban resource utilization and addressing the issue of unbalanced data availability across cities. In addition to urban domain, Bin is broadly interested in applicational research to tackle societal problems in clinical/healthcare, criminal justice, climate, and other areas.
