Syed Obaid Dawarki is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the Paul G Allen School of Computer Science, working on accessible technology using computer vision and machine learning for specially-abled persons. His work aligns with the mission of the Taskar Center for Accessible Technology, which is to develop, translate and deploy technologies that benefit individuals with disabilities. Obaid’s experience with Mercedes-Benz Research and Development has provided him with a diverse skill set in machine learning and data science. He has worked with big data sets, feature engineering, building and tuning machine learning models, and deploying machine learning models into production.
