Next WA State Legislative Session: We’ll discuss the upcoming session and the One Washington One Sidewalks Dataset proviso. This is a crucial initiative aimed at improving pedestrian infrastructure across the state.

  1. White House Panel on Accessible Transportation: TCAT, one of the four panelists, will provide insights from the recent panel discussion. This debrief will cover key takeaways and future directions for accessible transportation.
  2. November Election and #MapToTheVote Team Challenge: With the upcoming election, we’ll discuss the importance of voting and how the #mapToTheVote team challenge aims to enhance voter accessibility and engagement.
  3. Walk Roll Bike Summit Takeaways: We’ll share valuable insights and lessons learned from the recent summit, focusing on accessibility and mobility improvements.
  4. USDOT BTS Effort to Standardize Accessible Pedestrian Data: Learn about the ongoing efforts by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) to standardize accessible pedestrian data nationally. This initiative aims to fill the data gap with nationwide geospatial data layers for the extent, connectivity, and condition of bicycle, pedestrian, and accessibility infrastructure1.
  5. Roundtable Discussion on Fall Strategy: Engage in a collaborative discussion on strategies to ensure the next biennium proviso is voted on by the WA State Legislature. Your input and ideas are vital to our advocacy efforts.
