Mark Hallenbeck is the Director of the Washington State Transportation Center (TRAC) at the University of Washington (UW.) TRAC’s mission is to connect the Washington State DOT and other public agencies with the faculty, staff, and students at the University of Washington, in order to solve key problems facing these agencies and the people they serve. Mark is also a Senior Data Science Fellow in the UW eScience Institute. He teaches Intelligent Transportation Systems, Urban Transportation Planning, and Sustainable Transportation in the Department of Civil and Environment Engineering. His technical expertise focuses on the collection, use, summarization, and reporting of data that describe transportation system use and performance.
